Women's Ministry
We have a vibrant women's ministry at Mount Olive. We are committed to meeting the needs of women in our community. We have multiple areas of ministry. Here are some key examples.
PALS
Imagine your daughter or son, first time from home, homesick, broke, trying to study, living with strangers, and then a package arrives with cookies and treats from home. A reminder that they are loved and we as a church are thinking of them. This is PALS. Care packages are sent twice a year to our single college students. Let us know if you have a child attending post secondary school.
Women’s Events
Faith, Friendship, Fun. The events team is a group of women that want to minister to you and your friends. We are so busy that we purposely provide creative opportunities to reach out to each other and our community. We plan 3-4 events a years for the women of the church. It is a time to encourage each other (and laugh) as we journey through life together. We invite you join us.
Meals
Bringing home a new baby? Had surgery? Sick? (Sick of cooking doesn’t count) We have a group of ladies that will bring you some home cooked meals to help out. If you are willing to be part of this ministry by bringing a meal to someone, let us know.
HART
HART is a ministry to women and children of the Ukraine. We have several projects that we help with. We make up baby layettes, gift bags for new moms, gift bags for women’s retreats and we help supply money for postage to get everything shipped. Check with Carolyn Banks to find out what items you can donate.
Bible Studies
There are several Bible studies for the women of our church. If you would like to attend one let the church office know and we will help you get connected. (See Adult Ministries for this Fall’s options)
Social Committee
We have several groups of women that take turns helping with food for funerals and potlucks and other church functions that occur. Let us know if you would be willing to help out on an occasional basis.
Missions Prayer Group
Once a month women from the church meet to pray specifically for our missionary families. Watch the bulletin for dates and times.
