GLOBAL WORKERSRon & Jacqui Shaw Ron and Jacqui Shaw, missionaries with Africa Inland Mission, have been our highlighted Global Workers for these past two weeks. Ron maintains an active teaching role at Prairie Aviation Training Centre, is the AIM AIR Rep for Canada, and they also work with other AIM Mobilizers recruiting people for serving with AIM. More information about the Shaw’s work on our website! Our recent 3 month sojourn in Chad reminded us of how God uses us just as we are - wherever we are: On our first visit into town after our quarantine was over, we visited the little fifteen-student AIM MK School in N’Djamena (Wellspring Academy), and after greeting the three single gals that keep the school running so well, the Head teacher tentatively asked Ron “Do you know how to fix a toilet? - because none of the three toilets in the girls washroom are working properly.” Ron’s affirmative answer to that little question right at the beginning of our time there opened the "floodgates" of handyman requests that never stopped coming in the entire time we were there! Who knew that just fixing toilets could so bless the socks off of missionaries working faithfully in the tough country of Chad! God provided our needs and enabled us to be used where we could use the giftings God has given us over the years. |
