FAMILY

FAMILY

 Dear Church Family,

Thank you so much for your care & support you have given to our family
in the event of Basil's passing.
Thank you for the many prayers, cards, food, & flowers that you gave.
We truly felt carried through this time.
Special thanks to the pastoral staff, along with the technical volunteers
that allowed us to live-stream the service.
We value your continued prayers.
Love, Peggy Evans

GLOBAL WORKERS

GLOBAL WORKERS

Mark & Cheryl Sorell

Today once again our global workers are Mark and Cheryl Sorell who are a based in Calgary but serving in many countries through Action Ventures. You can find more information about the Sorell’s work by going to our website.”   Their prayer request for this week:  “Pray that we would have wisdom in planning for the coming months.  Typically, we spend the fall visiting Bible colleges and building connections with students then, in the spring and summer, provide training and leadership to teams of students overseas.  Many Bible Colleges are in a state of flux right now regarding missions practicums so that affects our plans. We are excited though about what God is doing through all these changes and look forward to what this means for the body of Christ.  In following up with former team members we hear things like what Jared said: "All I ever wanted was to be cool and play football but... when I went with you to Peru last summer I found my life's purpose. God used that experience to lead me to Bible College with a goal of becoming a youth pastor." (Photo: team to Peru last summer)

Special Resolution Vote

Special Resolution Vote

Sunday August 30, 2020

At our AGM in February 2019 the Mount Olive Board announced the possibility of expanding the church property base.

In June of 2020 we asked our congregants to pray with us regarding direction for expansion and future growth of Mount Olive.

On July 5th 2020 we held an information meeting for members to let you know what we as a board have looked into.  We would have liked all attendees to have been at that meeting, but due to Covid 19 we had space restrictions.

We are again asking all Mount Olive attendees to pray that we would have unity and direction regarding God’s will as we trust Him to show himself through a membership vote as to the possible purchase of land to the south of Mount Olive.

The proposed special meeting will take place Sunday August 30th at 6:30. We invite anyone attending Mount Olive to be a part of this; however, we will need to have a quorum of the membership in order to vote on the following special resolution.

Therefore, be it resolved: The board of Mount Olive is authorized to pursue and purchase the property directly south of Mount Olive.  The authorized purchase price shall not exceed $315,000.00. The board is further authorized to raise funds for said purchase through donations to an expansion fund, or loan as needed.
