"Greetings Mount Olive family!

We thank you for your prayers, generous support, encouragement and care for us!   Please pray for Hala (Syrian Coptic) and her adult, autistic son, Elias.  She is alone now as her 2 brothers and mom have gone to Syria to visit family.  Hala and I have encouraging spiritual conversations and prayer.  I have been taking them shopping, I sit in the vehicle with Elias as he can be very disruptive around others.  He listens to me quite well, we listen to Christian music and visit.  His English is minimal but we work through it. Elias has many medical problems that are difficult to diagnose because of his disruptive behavior, fear of needles, medical tests and lack of English.   Please pray for Hala as she is very tired with the stress and strain of Elias's care and his disrupted sleep patterns.  Pray for Elias as he does try to cooperate.   Pray for me to have wisdom, patience, strength to be of help and encouragement.”

We are excited to announce the arrival of Marcus James Klassen, born in Olds on March 1st weighing 8lbs 20z to parents Lucas and Jamie Klassen. Mom and baby are doing well!

It is with deep sadness that we inform you of the passing of Alvin Brown - brother to Glenn Brown. 

A funeral will be held at Mount Olive on Tuesday at 2:30 with a lunch to follow.
