Prayer Requests

• Prayer for spiritual protection over camp. We always feel the level of attack increases in the spring, and for safety for our summer missionaries.
• Prayer for us as a family as life is different now with Jay’s health. More rest is necessary for him and he still is on chemo one week out of each month, but it slows him down for a couple weeks.
• Prayer that Jen would have continued strength during this time.

Here is a story that the service host could share on Sunday morning if there is time:

This last year we heard a story about a man who attended Stoney Lake Bible Camp 25 years ago. He was not from a Christian home, but was sent to have fun. He had interaction with a volunteer who talked to him about God and shared John 3:16 with him. This man went on with his life and ended up working in the oilfield. Last year he ended up having a work injury where he was hit in the head and was in critical condition in the hospital. He did pull through, and the first thing he wanted was a Bible. The hospital found him one and he read John 3:16, then the book of John, then the New Testament, then the whole Bible. He dedicated his life to Christ, and last year sent his daughter to camp because of the effect it had on him, even though it took 25 years to sink in.

The Deacon Care Team is a group dedicated to serving and supporting the spiritual needs of the church community. Their mission is to embody Christ’s love by offering compassionate care, prayer, and encouragement to those in need. If you are needing any support please feel free to reach out!
