Hey Mount Olive Family,
I think we would all agree that the past 14 months have been a challenge and a stretch. Many of you have experienced that challenge and stretch in your relationships, your business and career, your education, your family, and in your own physical, mental, and spiritual health.
The most recent tighter restrictions will leave many of us more tired and more frustrated. I understand. And I am so sorry that we have to go through this.
Jesus never promised to take us out of the world, and he did say that in this world we would have trouble, but he promised to leave his peace with us, the true peace that is found in him (John 14:27). So may you find peace in the person of Jesus as you look to him and allow him to live through you in these trying time.
What do the new restrictions mean for us as a church body specifically?
Our Sunday Service will be online only for at least the next 3 weeks. We will let you know when we will have in person Sunday services when the guidelines relax.
If you are involved in other ministries such as small groups, men's or women's, or youth ministry and so on. Please contact your small group or ministry leader regarding how your specific group will move forward over the next 3 weeks and beyond.
Join us this Sunday online as we gather as a whole church, in many places, scattered, around our county and the world. I will have a short message of encouragement, and we are honored to have Phil Callaway share an encouragement for all of us, but especially Moms (Happy Mother's Day!) and together we will praise our powerful and loving God through song.
We will see you then, Pastor Alvin
