K & L
K & L are working in a creative access country. "Recently K spent many hours on the train going in and out of Ukraine. He is humbled and amazed at the faithfulness of all the Ukrainian Pastors and leaders who have stayed in the country to continue their ministries and shepherd their flocks. This includes missionaries to Ukraine, Adam and Luba Nikkel with their two children in Kryvyi Rih. These pastors and missionaries have counted the cost and remain faithful - even in the face of danger. Let's keep them in prayer. He is extremely thankful to a mission that supports the calling of God on peoples' lives and ministry - even under difficult circumstances. Just before K left for Ukraine, L had internal bleeding and required 3 units of blood. The doctors were able to perform a life-saving surgery to stop the bleeding quickly. At that time they took a biopsy. While in Ukraine, they found out the biopsy proved cancerous in her stomach. Since then, L has been on a medication regiment that typically can control (and possibly eliminate) this cancer. Pray for this health issue. L has finished her series of medicines and now they wait until the beginning of May to see the results. If the cancer still exists in her stomach she will need to begin radiation. One blessing in this - she's been waiting for a knee surgery for many months, and this shouldn't keep that from happening. Pray for the cancer to be gone and for a date for her surgery. Initially they said March or April. They are extremely thankful to be in Canada for health issues like this and have just settled into Coleman, AB for the next six weeks and would like to get back overseas soon.” |
