James was raised on a farm in central Alberta and made the decision to follow Jesus at a young age. The desire to serve in missions developed in his teenage years and led him to study at Peace River Bible Institute. James then trained in aircraft maintenance at Northern Lights College with the dream of one day serving in mission aviation.
Kristina grew up in rural Alberta and accepted the Lord as a young child. She also dreamed of becoming a missionary. After high school, Kristina attended Peace River Bible Institute before completing a Bachelor of Education at Grande Prairie Regional College.
James and Kristina met through mutual Bible school friends and were married in 2007. They have two children, Hannah (2012) and Nate (2014).
In 2018 after years of preparation, James and Kristina joined MAF and started their missionary journey by serving at Prairie Aviation Training Centre in Three Hills, AB. James and Kristina are excited to serve in Indonesia with MAF, and they look forward to using their gifts, talents and experience for His glory. James will continue to serve as an aircraft maintenance specialist and Kristina is eager to use her training as a teacher to serve others.
